Waiver Eligibility
Contemporary Research Review for Social Work (CRRSW) recognizes that certain circumstances may create undue hardship for authors wishing to submit their work for publication. To address these situations, CRRSW offers a limited waiver program to eligible authors. This policy outlines the criteria and process for applying for a waiver.
1. Eligibility Criteria:
- Financial hardship: Authors experiencing significant financial hardship may be eligible for a waiver of the publication fee. Documentation demonstrating financial need, such as proof of low income or student status, may be required.
- Exceptional circumstances: Authors facing unforeseen or exceptional circumstances that impede their ability to pay the publication fee may be considered for a waiver. Examples may include medical emergencies, natural disasters, or political unrest. Documentation supporting these circumstances may be requested.
- Contribution to the field: Authors whose research contributes significantly to the advancement of social work knowledge or addresses critical social issues may be eligible for a waiver, particularly if they are from developing countries or underrepresented groups. The potential impact and originality of the research will be considered.
2. Application Process:
- Authors requesting a waiver should submit a written application to the CRRSW editorial team alongside their manuscript submission.
- The application should clearly state the reason for requesting a waiver and provide any relevant supporting documentation.
- The editorial team will review all waiver applications on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the eligibility criteria and the overall merits of the submitted research.
- Applicants will be notified of the decision regarding their waiver request within submitting their application.
