Plagiarism Policy
"Contemporary Research Review for Social Work" (CRRSW) is committed to publishing original and high-quality research that contributes to the advancement of social work knowledge and practice. We maintain a strict policy against plagiarism in all its forms, as it undermines the integrity of academic scholarship and the journal's reputation.
Definition of Plagiarism:
Plagiarism is the act of presenting someone else's work or ideas as your own without proper attribution. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Copying text or data verbatim from another source without quotation marks and citation.
- Paraphrasing someone else's work without clear attribution.
- Failing to cite sources adequately or accurately.
- Submitting work that has been published elsewhere without permission or disclosure.
- Self-plagiarism: reusing significant portions of your own previously published work without proper citation.
Consequences of Plagiarism:
Manuscripts submitted to CRRSW will be screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software. Any instance of plagiarism detected will result in the following consequences:
- Immediate rejection of the manuscript: Manuscripts with confirmed plagiarism will not be considered for publication and will be promptly rejected.
- Notification of authors and institutions: Both the author(s) and the author's affiliated institution(s) will be notified of the plagiarism finding.
- Potential blacklisting: Authors found to have engaged in plagiarism may be blacklisted from submitting to CRRSW in the future.
- Publication of retractions: In cases of severe plagiarism or repeated offenses, CRRSW may retract published articles and notify readers of the plagiarism.
Author Responsibilities:
Authors submitting manuscripts to CRRSW are responsible for:
- Ensuring the originality of their work.
- Properly citing all sources used in their research.
- Obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material.
- Disclosing any potential conflicts of interest.
- Adhering to all ethical guidelines for research conduct.
