Licensing Policy
1. Introduction:
"Contemporary Research Review for Social Work" (CRR for SW) values the intellectual property of its authors and strives to make research accessible to a wide audience. This Licensing Policy outlines the rights and responsibilities of authors and the journal regarding the publication of scholarly works.
2. Copyright:
- Authors retain the copyright of their work submitted to CRR for SW.
- Upon submission, authors grant CRR for SW a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish their work in the journal, both online and in print.
- This license allows CRR for SW to reproduce, distribute, adapt, and translate the work for the purposes of the journal, including online hosting, archiving, and promotion.
3. Open Access Options:

CRR for SW offers two open access options:
- CC BY License: Authors grant the most extensive rights to their work under this license, allowing anyone to reuse, modify, and distribute the work for any purpose, as long as they provide proper attribution.
- CC BY-NC License: This license permits non-commercial reuse, modification, and distribution of the work, with proper attribution required.

Authors choose their preferred open access option during submission.
4. Author Rights:
- Authors can self-archive their work in personal or institutional repositories after a designated embargo period, typically 12 months for open access articles and 24 months for non-open access articles.
- Authors are encouraged to share their work on other platforms, but must always credit the original publication in CRR for SW.
5. Publisher Rights:
- CRR for SW has the exclusive right to first publish the submitted work for a period of 12 months for open access articles and 24 months for non-open access articles.
- After the embargo period, authors may republish their work elsewhere, but must credit the original publication in CRR for SW.
